The Port of Port Mansfield is dedicated to improving both the Port itself and the surrounding communities. To that end, the Port actively participates in various developmental and environmental organizations, fostering connections and supporting local economic growth to uplift the lives of Willacy County residents.

The Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council (LRGVDC) promotes and encourages cooperation among local units of government in order to improve the region's health, safety, and general welfare and to plan for future development.
Gulf Ports Association (GPA)
The Gulf Ports Association is a trade organization whose members include a variety of port authorities located on the Gulf Coast. Members are dedicated to enhancing economic development and encouraging commerce.

Special Recognition
Congressman Henry Cuellar was instrumental in supporting our first dredging project with follow up support from Congressman Filemon Vela.
Our current dredging project was supported, and funding was prioritized through the guidance of Congressman Vicente Gonzalez of the 34th District of Texas
