About the Harbor Office
The Willacy County Navigation District operates an office at the harbor in Port Mansfield, adjacent to the Port Mansfield Police Department on Laguna Drive. The facility houses the Supervisory Team overseeing the daily operations and staff of both the Willacy County Navigation District and the Port Mansfield Public Utility District. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, harbor maintenance, water services, sewer services, and garbage collection. The Supervisory Team consists of Port Superintendent Frank Vasquez and Harbormaster Sue Nelson.
Lessees and transient customers may visit the Harbor Office to address questions or concerns, make lease and utility payments, and access complimentary notary services. The Harbor Office also serves as the initial responder to environmental incidents such as spills or unauthorized discharges. To keep mariners informed, the office maintains the Port Mansfield Harbor Office Facebook Page, posting updates about scheduled and unscheduled utility interruptions, hazardous weather advisories, and corresponding warning flags based on alerts from the National Weather Service.
